My flickr contact Takuya took this with his iPhone 6s and the Hipstamatic app in Kyoto, Japan.
My flickr contact Takuya took this elegant image of safety bumps in a train station in Japan with his Ricoh GR.
We were in Japan 15 years ago and noticed the strips of bumps in train stations then and had to ask what they were for (allowing people with low or no vision to feel the walkways and track edge). What an incredible idea and of course now, it’s all over the world. This is one of the best shots I’ve ever seen of the safety bumps, well done and well titled.
My flickr contact Takuya took this excellent image of a courtyard at the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum with his Ricoh GR. I was going to call it an atrium until I saw the reflection in the sculpture.
The masonry pattern on the floor and the overall color caste give this image a fitting look for Japan.
My flickr contact Takuya posted this wonderful image of a Japanese rock garden taken with an iPhone 5S and Hipstamatic. Brilliant framing and color.
My flickr contact Takuya has posted this great “street” image of spray paint and a beautifully cast manhole cover taken with a Ricoh GR 2 probably in Kyoto, Japan. I’ve always enjoyed Japanese manhole covers but this is a nice composition with the spray paint.
