Flickr member Henry Africano took these excellent aerial photographs of Chicago from an airplane (not sure if commercial or private) with his Ricoh GR.
My flickr contact Darek Meyer has posted this unusual shot of an Asian city* at night. He’s using his street technique on urban landscape and it works very well. Taken with Ricoh GR.
*He rarely posts the city he’s working in and he works throughout Asia: Philippines, Singapore, and more.
Flickr member Graham Gibson caught the view of downtown Chicago from a restaurant at the top of the John Hancock building in Chicago.
Flickr member RW Sinclair has taken some fantastic images looking down from tall buildings in Tokyo, Japan with a Sony RX1.
Near San Bernardino, California. On initial approach into LAX we banked hard over a housing development. Each of the grid squares looks like a self-contained neighborhood and each neighborhood has similar street patterns. One can even see the future street patterns mapped out on the developments just being laid out. I realize this is common in the western United States but there’s something unsettling about it, like a self-replicating organism, spreading.
