Warren, Connecticut.
We have bunches of wild daylilies growing around our place and their leaves (are these leaves?) are quite good at collecting water droplets. I’m out of practice taking pictures so figured this would be an easy way back in. Not as easy as I thought.
What a fine composition of those leaves and water droplets Richard; looks so good in monochrome.
Thanks Gary. It was good to get out and shoot something. Wish I got there focus sharper…
This is a cracking image Richard and I love it being in b and w. It’s reminiscent of an image by a photographer you may have heard of he’s an absolute legend sadly no longer with us called Barry Thornton. I have a few of his books and actually met him. His b and w knowledge was without equal for me if you get a chance to read any of his books I’d certainly recommend them.
Good to see you posting again
Thanks Martin. I’ll look up Thornton, thanks.
Great shot! It seems that this one is a high-contrast image (from RAW I believe). Have you tried out Acros film simulation with shots like this?
It’s actually from a color JPEG. I have tried ACROS and it’s fantastic and I need to keep my camera set to it more often. I’ve not been shooting much so didn’t spend a lot of time thinking about using RAW or two files or anything like that. Thanks.
