Flickr member Jean-Adrien Morandeau took this unusual and terrific image of Le Mont Saint Michel in Normandy, France.
This is a much photographed island but I’ve never seen a shot like this of it. Terrific perspective and added context with the boardwalk and road.
Brilliant. I remember as a child when I stayed with family friends in Paris and they took me with them to visit their family in Brittany and seeing The Mont Saint Michel from a distance as we drove. It looked so magical. I had never seen anything like it before. Since my french was not very good I still will never know if they took me there because I made such a big fuss in the car or they were planning to all along.
Great story Julia. I’ve never been there but it’s so well photographed I think I know the place, high tide or low.
