New York City. We were in New York visiting a friend yesterday and I was carrying my new Fuji X100S (more on that later). I was having problems with exposure and couldn’t figure out why until just before this shot I realized that I’d set up auto ISO for an indoor photo shoot I’d done with it a few days ago and forgot to change settings back (I had it maxing out at 800 which for night shooting in New York isn’t a good idea). The photo shoot went amazingly well with a fixed 35mm lens by the way.
Anyway, I mucked around with it and took a quick shot of this famous view before we ran into Grand Central and onto our train home. I had no idea what I’d done but hoped I got something.
In short, while the Fuji X100S is going to take some getting used to, it can produce stunning images. I’m excited about using it.
